Designed to work with your favorite SIP-based PBX or Softswitch, ClearlyIP Announces the release of their newest generation of IP desk phones.
APPLETON, WISCONSIN – September 27, 2021 – Clearly IP Inc. (“ClearlyIP” or the “Company”), today announced the release of the second generation of ClearlyIP CIP Deskphones. Concerns related to the Covid-19 Pandemic manufacturing delays and shortage of microchips motivated an early hardware upgrade. Both of those required new resourcing of some phone elements. In this case, ClearlyIP added a Dual Core Processor chip with one core dedicated to sound, allowing the other core processor to handle everything else. This had two effects; the first is that it enabled what was already great voice clarity to become even better with a dedicated core running a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) dedicated just for voice. The second was that since all of the voice is handled on a separate core, the other functions of the phone also became faster, resulting in faster menu changes and faster screen refreshes with their own dedicated core on the processor.
The new ClearlyIP CIP v2 Desk Phones will work seamlessly in connection with the first generation of CIP Desk Phones, so there is no need for customers to replace their v1 CIP Phones. The phones retain the ability to be branded by end-users and resellers. Pricing remains the same on the new models, except for the internal components refresh; the overall look, design, and functionality have not changed. Clearly IP phones can be easily provisioned free of charge using the ClearlyIP Device Manager software or the Clearly Device module for FreePBX® based systems.
ClearlyIP released its first generation of ClearlyIP CIP Desk Phones in 2019. At that time, Preston McNair, Chief Revenue Officer, and a founding Partner, while speaking at a partner onboarding event, stated- “ClearlyIP will strive to offer our Partners the most affordable and accessible rebrandable IP desk phones in the marketplace, that will offer best-in-class technology and will continue to evolve as technology trends mandate.” This week, ClearlyIP backs up that statement with “the next generation of CIP Desk Phones.”

All existing orders are being fulfilled with the remaining first-generation ClP Desk Phones. All new phone orders, as of mid-November, will be fulfilled with V2 models automatically. The current release dates for each model of the V2 phones are;
- CIP270V2 – Available starting September 27th, 2021
- CIP250V2 – Available around October 15th, 2021
- CIP230V2 – Available around November 15th, 2021
